After lunch, head over to the Pima Air Museum, established in 1967 and now ranked as the third largest aviation history museum in the U.S. View models, uniforms, insignia, WWII mock-up airmen's quarters, a B-29 "Superfortress," Douglas "Globemaster," F-84 "Shooting Star," F-100 "Super Sabre," SR-71, and a pristinely restored B-17.  There are over 200 planes on display including two B-52's and JFK's Air Force One.  Trace America's heritage of flight from a full-scale replica of the Wright brothers' plane to the X-15 rocket that first took men to the edge of space.  For a nominal fee take advantage of the convenience of a tram ride through this outdoor museum.  Note: Only small bags permitted in the Museum.  Comfortable shoes recommended.

Enjoy a 7.4-mile, breathtaking, narrated tram ride through the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains learning about how the Canyon was formed, the plant & wildlife in the canyon and cultural history.  Take in the view that features the best of this "Desert Oasis" in the Coronado National Forest, including the Saquaro Cactus, which grows only in the region.  The Saquaro is a slow grower.  After 10 years they could be about 1.5 inches tall.  It takes 50-80 years to reach 10 feet tall.  You will see spectacular Saguaros twice that height.  For many in our group, this may be a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the spectacular Saguaro scenery.

Known as the "Town too Tough to Die," a visit to Tombstone is like stepping back into history.  Home to the infamous Gunfight at the OK Corral, Boothill Graveyard, and the World Largest Rose Bush.  Enjoy wonderful shops, gunfight reenactments and museums.  Don't forget to stop and grab a bite at Crazy Annie's or Doc Holiday's Saloon!  You can take a scenic ride on a stagecoach, take a trolley ride, or stroll the streets at your pace.  A quick stop at the Visitor's Center will provide you with all the information you need.  *Please note, all attractions are on your own including admission fees, etc.

Start your day with a stroll through the Tubac Presidio State Historic Park & Museum.  The park contains historic buildings, a museum with exhibits covering 2,000 years of Southwest history, an art gallery, and ruins of the Spanish fort from the mid-1700's.  Then enjoy a few hours in the historic streets of Tubac shopping at one of their art galleries, antique or pottery shops, or a vintage Native American Jewelry shop.  Enjoy lunch on your own at one of many family-owned restaurants serving traditional southwestern dishes.  The final stop before heading back is to Santa Cruz Chili & Spice Company.  Locally owned and operated, they sell individual spices, ready-to-use mixes plus sauces, jellies, and cookbooks!

For attendees canceling reunion activities prior to the cut-off date of August 15 Armed Forces Reunions, Inc. (AFR) shall process a full refund less the non-refundable AFR registration fee ($15 per person).  Attendees canceling reunion activities after the cut-off date will be refunded to the fullest extent that AFR's vendor commitments and guarantees will allow, less the non-refundable Group/ AFR registration fee.  For addition mistakes by the user that incur charges above the intended amount that require a refund, user will be responsible for additional credit card fees.  Cancellations will only be taken Monday through Friday from 9am until 5pm Eastern Time, excluding holidays.  Please call (757) 625-6401 to cancel reunion activities.  Refunds will be processed 4-6 weeks after the reunion.  Canceling your hotel reservations does not cancel your reunion activities.
